Will my house feel colder afterward?

Every home is different, but most people don’t feel a big temperature change after removal. Once standard mineral wool insulation is added, airflow improves, dampness reduces, and the space feels fresher overall.

Do you remove and dispose of all the waste?

Yes, we take care of everything. All foam and waste materials are collected and properly disposed of at licensed and regulated waste centers.

Do you need to visit my property first?

Not necessarily. We use satellite images and measurement software to prepare everything before coming out. We’re able to give you an accurate quote without visiting the site. Since the foam needs to be removed before we can fully assess the condition, a pre-visit isn’t required.

What if you find damaged or rotten wood?

If we come across damaged or rotting wood, we’ll take clear photos and share them with you. Once you approve, we’ll go ahead with the needed repairs to make sure your roof is safe and solid.

How long does the process take?

For a typical 3-bedroom semi-detached house, the removal usually takes around 3 days to complete.

Why will my mortgage company not lend money against my property

Some lenders won’t approve mortgages for homes with spray foam insulation. This is because spray foam can trap moisture against wooden beams, causing them to rot. Also, there are concerns about how fire-resistant the foam really is. In many cases, it was installed poorly or used to hide roof issues. Even after removal, some mortgage lenders may still be cautious, which can make things more complicated.

What happens if the felt is damaged?

Before we start, we check your roof inside and out to avoid any damage or safety risks. But if the felt gets damaged during the process, don’t worry—our skilled team can repair or replace any part of the roof if needed. We follow a proper process to inspect everything and keep safety as our top priority.

What if there’s no felt under the foam?

It’s not a problem if there’s no felt under the spray foam. It doesn’t affect your property’s value, the main goal is to expose and inspect the wooden roof structure (timbers).

Do I have to replace the insulation?

Not always. If you’re selling your home or applying for equity release, you usually don’t need to replace it. However, if the foam is causing moisture problems, poor airflow, or general maintenance issues, we may suggest using a different, approved type of insulation.

What if someone falls through the ceiling?

Before we go into the loft, we carefully check the ceiling from underneath and take pictures to record its condition. If, by any chance, we cause damage during our work, we take full responsibility and will fix it right away. Our team is trained to handle such situations professionally.
